TALK: Discover The Merlins of The North York Moors, Wilf Norman Goathland Nature Group
10 December, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for a fascinating talk with Wilf Norman from Goathland Nature Group as we explore the life of the Merlin, the UK’s smallest bird of prey. Wilf will introduce us to the breeding biology of this remarkable species and share what has been learned through data from the ringing of Merlin chicks. He will also explore the potential factors behind the decline in the Merlin population since 2000.
With the Merlin on the conservation Red List and protected as a Schedule 1 species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, this promises to be a fascinating talk about one of the North York Moors’ most special birds and the challenges it faces.
Free entry with refreshments available. All are welcome.
