TALK: Plants Around Goathland by Wendy English

Goathland is surrounded by superb countryside from the top of the moors down to the rich woodland in the Esk valley, with a wealth of wild plants growing in the different habitats.

Wendy, Whitby Naturalists, will concentrate on sites within a short distance of the village, highlighting some of the typical and special plants that grow here. She will also mention invasive, non-native species and the value of making records. Wendy will be interested to hear from us about our favourite plant locations in the question session afterwards.
